Need help creating a Manager Dashboard View and Individual Dashboard View

Hi All,

I have been tasked with creating a Manager View Dashboard where the manager can toggle and select either a Team view or an individual sales rep in the same dashboard. Is this feasible?  If yes, what is the easiest way to accomplish this? Is it possible to add a drop down list on the top of the dashboard that allows you to select either an individual sales person or multiple sales person and view their data in the dashboard view?  I am open to all ideas and feedback.  Feel free to ask questions for more clarification.

Thanks,
Adam

If your requirement is to allow managers to toggle between Team and Individual views, select one or multiple salespeople, and have the dashboard update dynamically, a Custom Page (embedded in the Model-driven App) is the recommended solution. It offers the flexibility to add dropdowns, multi-select controls, and interactive filters that aren't supported by standard model-driven dashboards. If the focus is primarily on reporting and analytics, Power BI with slicers provides an equally strong alternative.

For many organizations, the best solution is to combine both:

    1. Custom Page for operational dashboards where users can view KPIs, filter records, and take actions (such as opening opportunities, updating records, or creating activities).
    2.  Power BI for executive reporting, trends, forecasting, and advanced analytics.

This gives sales managers a seamless experience inside Dynamics 365 while still providing powerful reporting capabilities.

    Date Picker or DropdownTime period
    KPI CardsPipeline, Revenue, Opportunities
ChartsPipeline by stage, Revenue by month
    Gallery/GridOpportunity details

This approach allows managers to switch between Team and Individual views, select one or multiple salespeople, and have the dashboard update dynamically—all without leaving Dynamics 365 CE.
