Dear All,

I have a case with a customer where he wants to Hide a financial Dimension that is only used with some accounts in Advanced rule in Account Structure on Purchase Order and Purchase requisition .
Please advise if this can be done through any setup or configuration.

D365 consists of many applications, such as Finance and Operations, Sales or Business Central. You're asking in D365 general forum, therefore it's not clear which product you have in mind. Is it F&O?

This should be feasable using the ""Blank values are allowed" in the Account structure setup for specific MainAccounts on specific Dimensions

    Hope this helps.

The default behavior is showing all dimensions for the given ledger (with a few exceptions; especially main account). Account structure rules normally applies only to ledger dimensions, not default dimensions. I don't know how you want to do it, but if you know that and you just don't know how to apply it to the form, I do have an answer for you.

The behavior of a Dimension Entry control is managed by a controller class and you can provide your own implementation (with different behavior than usual). In this case, you can create a class inheriting from LedgerDefaultDimensionEntryController and use it in Controller Class property of LineDimensionEntryControl or PurchReqTable form (and similarly in PurchTable form).

In the class, you'll likely want to override either parmDimensionsToDisplay() method and add custom logic there.

Hi Hayan, you verified two replies as answers. One says it's not possible and the other that it is, but both can't be true at the same time (IMHO). How do you see it?
