Error loading new license file in old database before data upgrade

Hi All,

Currently i'am working on a conversion from nav 2013R2 to Nav2017.

During the dataupgrade i have to upload my new license file (nav2017) into the old database (2013R2) by using the development environment of nav 2013R2. I get this error message: This program license cannot be used.

For the data upgrade i follow the steps described by Microsoft (Task 3 is the current step):

I'am not sure what to do now.

Its better to save the license file in the database, that too developer license.

Hi Patrick you have to upload Developer Licence in nav 2013R2

Hi Patrick,

Are you uploading the end user license? If yes, you need to use a full developer license. Or use partner license.
