We have taken over a small company using GP2010 and we would like to get insights into the database in order to understand if we can migrate the data or how we can connect GP2010 with other systems. The former inhouse specialist was based in the US and has left the company so we only have some basic knowledge of the system. We know that GP is not really common in Europe and our own networks could not come up with someone in Europe being able to help us.

Have you been able to find someone to help you out (Ian is very qualified for GP) ?
I'm based in Canada, but come from Switzerland and speak German as well. We do have an operational branch in the Swiss German region and I've been travelling a few times there to assist them in there IT infrastructure. PM me if you need someone speaking German if you feel that your client would feel more comfortable.
