Issues with custom reports

CRM 2016 On Premises

I am a bit confused as to what is happening

Using visual Studios (v2015) I created a report (report 1)  using SQL Server as a data source and imported it to CRM under the administrator account. I set the report to publish for external use.

I then created a dialog and workflow that calls that report and generates a PDF file .  No problems there

I then created another report (report 2) using fetch xml, imported it into crm under the administrator account and again published for external use. I amended the workflow attached to the dialog to call both reports

When looking on the reporting server, signed on as the administrator, I can run both reports with no issues,

My problem arises when I run the dialog .. signed in as a Domain Admin / CRM Admin.

The report1 pdf is generated, but the report 2 fails.

looking in the reporting server logs I can see its reporting  'user not found'  Both reports are being run from the same 'dialog' therefore using the same account

Signed on as domain admin, I can run both reports from CRM Reports section. Would this be a problem because of the fetch xml or something more deep seated?

Could it be that the FETCH XML based report is trying to retrieve a record or do something with the disabled user?

I would change the query and reduce the data set for test purpose and see if it still complaints.

Sounds like there is an issue with the FetchXML data source in the folder where the external publish is located.  Does report 2 run without issue from within CRM itself before you get to the external publish step?
