How to Undo a registered warehouse item journal i BC Cloud

This is a two pronged question:

1) How to know if you have registered warehouse item journals that have not been posted to an item journal yet? The idea being that you need to be able to reconcile the sum of your bin contents to your total inventory for an item.

Suppose you start with the following for item abc:

Total inventory = 100

Sum of bin contents = 100 ie 60 in bin A and 40 in bin B

You register a warehouse item journal to remove the 40 in bin B. At this point Total inventory is still 100 but the sum of bin contents is 60 with no way of finding out the source of the difference. Is there something like a registered warehouse item journal that indicates that it is not yet posted to an item journal? 

2) You make a mistake.

If you realized you made a mistake, how can you undo it without having to go all the way through to completing the item journal and then creating a new warehouse item journal and item journal to put the inventory back?

    Hi,

    Question 1)

    This is registered against the Adjustment bin.
    So, everything that is in the Adjustment bin is still yet to post in the Item Journal.

    Question 2)

    Try the "Whse. Phys. Invt. Journal".
    When you adjust the Quantity in a certain Zone/Bin, the Quantity should be taken from the Adjustment bin. Best is, to give it a try.

    I understand what you are getting at for Question 2 but my point is that like other transactions, there is a list and you can look up registered transactions and see the details. Seems in this case once it is registered there is no such list where you can retrieve the details of what you registered so you can do a reversing action.

    For Question 1, I tried it again and found it did NOT put anything into the adjustment bin. My gut tells me it only flows through the adjustment bin for a brief moment as it is processing the item journal. Either that or they hide the details of the adjustment bin in the bin contents screen. If you are able to see it, I would like to know what screen you went to.

    Hi,

    Question 1)

    This depends on the actual document which created the transaction.

    E.g. a Pick is moved into "Registered Warehouse Pick List", a Movement is archived in "Registered Warehouse Movement List" etc.

    There is a "Warehouse Register" which is similar to the G/L Register.

    Question 2)

    In Bin Contents, select the Product & Unit that you are interested in, then you can see a number populated in the bottom right "Qty. On Adjustment Bin". You can click also on that number and in the Page you can remove some of its filters, then you have an overview what is in the Adjustment bin. Or, search for "Warehouse Entries" and filter on the Adjustment bin - this should give you the same overview.
