is it required for a consultant to physically visit warehouse and what is best practice to start

Q1: Does a D365 Advance Warehouse Functional Consultant really need to visit client's warehouse / DC physically during fit-gap analysis or pre-implementation of warehouse module? Or is it just enough to have verbal discussions with client's warehouse SMEs to find out their warehouse processes.

Q2: And my other question is, what sort of warehouse identifications/ business processes need to be determined from client which suffices at initial level to start configuring Sanbox environment? I kind of know which I have listed below, but still need experts advice.

Q3: I also heard about fit-gap analysis sheet available in LCS, can anyone suggest how helpful it in the project. And where exactly i can download it from LCS

Per legal entity:

2. warehouses (DCs, branches, consignment, GIT, transit )

7. details of location, what locaitons are lpn controlled and do they allow mixed inventory, are locations volumentric controlled, etc
