I would like to restrict a group of users to view only gl accounts that relates to them.

I dont have Account Security, so i dont believe i can do the organsational assignment.
Can you confirm for me, should i setup this restriction, will other users be able to view batches that they have no gl access to?
For example should i post a payables batch using transactions that i am only able to view, can another user other than a power user, post my batch even though they have no access to the gl accounts that i have access to?
Start by setting up Organizational Structures which define how your company is setup around the chart of accounts. User Classes are attached to an organizational structure. This ties a user class to a set of accounts based on the structure. Then turn on Account Security in Setup->Company->Company.
If you turn on account security without setting up Organizational Structures, no one has access to the chart and it will look like the chart has been wiped out.
