Hi BC Gurus,

When trying to update a record via Postman we are getting this error: Internal_EntityWithSameKeyExists

Any reason why we are getting this and how to resolve?

Hi, if you are updating records, generally use Patch instead of Post, unless you are updating from a codeunit or bound action.

Hi,

The error message indicates that the record already exists in the Item table, and you're attempting to use an existing Item No.

This could happen when you're sending a POST request to create a new record, but the record with the same identifier is already present.
