WebClient: A server side exception of type "DexRuntimeException" has occurred.

All, I have a modified Project Maintenance Form( Window: Override Account Segment) and it works fine on Desktop Client. But when I open the Webclient version, I get the above error and couldn't figure out the cause. Copied the modified PA dictionary assembly into the GP folder, and there is no single VBA Customization per the below thread suggests, but still getting the exact same error.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi Jothikrishnan,

I have done some research and found a couple of cases where customers were receiving this same error message you are receiving. In there case, they also had a modified form. I would suggest setting access to the standard version of the forms and test them again.  You could also follow the KB below to remove any customizations that are in place from the Dynamics.set file, and you could test without them in place and see if you receive the same error message.

KB Article 872087 "Steps to disable third-party products or temporarily disable additional products in the Dynamics.set file in Microsoft Dynamics GP"

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../KBDisplay.aspx;EN-US;872087

I hope this information helps you. Please let me know how your testing goes.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions on this.

    Sincerely,

    Rosa Chavez DeLeon

RE: WebClient: A server side exception of type "DexRuntimeException" has occurred.

    Hi Rosa,

Thank you very much for the response. I did test it earlier with regular form and there were no issues, again tested now and it works, but when I change the security to modified form and try to open, it throws the above error.

I have 2 things on the Project Maintenance screen.

    1) Validation on Department Code to match the portion of the Sub Acct format and It's on the Main Window.

    2) Added Mark All check box to select all the options in the Override Acct Segment Window.

Strange thing I've noticed is that, the code written on Events of Modified Dictionary forms are getting triggered when I open the regular form as well.  Meaning.. when I change the security to regular PA Maint form, Code 1 is still getting triggered.

Another thing is, After adding the Addins entries for both Web and Desktop client on Dynamics.exe.Config and launched GP, I was getting an error to strongly name my Customizations(DLLs), hence I have created the SNK and strongly named my DLLs as well as PA Modified form DLL( Since my project was failing to build unless I strongly name the PA modified dic as well).

    Thanks,

    Jothikrishnan

Has anyone else experienced this and found the solution?
