    Thanks! We'll try this workaround.

    Hi Angeles,

To be honest I dont know why it is not appearing.  I have usually created a custom field when using Alt Keys

Maybe an index already exists on the field so you cannot use it as an Alt Key

You could create a custom field and use a workflow to copy the ticket number into that - clunky!

    Hi Joe,

I just want to use the field ticketnumber as a part of a key of the entity. When I try to create the key, Dynamics offers me some fields to be part of the key but none of them is ticketnumber. I will add some pictures to better explain the situation.

Picture1. The list of the fields of the entity (ticketnumber is there)

Picture2. The list of available fields to create the key of the entity (ticketnumber is not there)

    Thanks so much!!!

    Hi Angeles,

Not sure what you are trying to achieve. Are you trying to over write the ticketnumber field which containts the auto generated case number?
