We have a new client asking about using the Server Core option for their SQL and Application servers (Server 2012) for their GP 2015 deployment. I've never been exposed to this Server Core. Is this supported with GP? Any pros or cons with this? Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Todd,
I am not aware of any reason it isn't supported to run your SQL server on a server core install. The instance can be managed through SSMS via a remote machine however it is sometime better to run certain tasks using the GP client on the same machine that is running SQL which will not be possible on server core.
If you do go with server core you should have at least some familiarity with powershell and it would be helpful to be comfortable using RSAT.
