Hello,
Sure, by setting up a purchase lead time for thjis item. I am not sure for AX2009, but you would need to go to Default Order setting for that item and for Purchase, enter a Purchase Lead time and select whether it is working days or not.
If you Master Plan or for that Item Coverage Group, you have to setup the Coverage time fence to look beyond that Lead Time.
If you have a demand that falls within that covergae time fence, AX will consider the lead time to suggest to issue a purchase order in time to receive it when it is required.
