Wrong Tax Calculations in PO

Posted on by 1,780

Hi!

My client is having an issue with Tax calculation on PO's. Their tax detail id setup is showing 10% whereas in PO it is calculating as 1%

I suggest them to run checklinks on Sales/Purchase Tax Master but doesn't help.

Anybody experience similar issue? Any solution?

    Hi!

    Thanks for sharing some ideas.

This issue has been resolved. There was 10% specified accidently by one of the user in 'Taxble Percent' field in Tax Schedule setup apart from 'Percentage' field and hence it began calculating wrongly.

Checklinks handles file linking problems where Reconcile handles balances more often.  However, If this is happening all the time and on more than one order for more than one user, I would  not think reconcile would help.

Does this happen in your test environment?  If you created different tax details and placed dummy transactions to get the calculations, does it happen for the new details?  If not, you might try deleting the detail and re-keying it.

Also, YOU referred to tax details.  I assume that you are putting schedules in the orders (sop and pop) that call these details.  Right?
