Hello community, we've recently learned of a set of Windows updates that causes an issue with Timecard Approval in Business Portal.

Until the updates are re-released without the issue, the workaround will be to uninstall all updates associated with the July 2018 .NET Framework update group.

Here is the master list of all updates associated with the July 2018 .NET Framework Update group, they’re grouped by .NET version and OS version.

Here is more information:

After you install any of the July 2018 .NET Framework Security Updates, a COM component fails to load because of “access denied,” “class not registered,” or “internal failure occurred for unknown reasons” errors.

"Access Denied" errors and applications with COM activation fail after installing July 2018 Security and Quality Rollup updates for .NET Framework

It should be noted that since Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 is out of Mainstream Support, we won't be releasing any updates or hotfixes to Business Portal moving forward so this issue is reliant on the Windows team to patch, otherwise the updates need to stay uninstalled. Stay posted on the links here for status changes as the Windows team works on this.
