Management Reporter for Dynamics GP will continue to be supported and ship now and in the future releases of Microsoft Dynamics GP. Large features like going fully to the cloud and other major enhancements will not be made to Management Reporter for Dynamics GP.
The Management Reporter for Dynamics GP product will not be discontinued.
The ghost writing on the wall: Dynamics 365 coming soon. Two editions using NAV and AX with CRM, Cortana, CRM available as SaaS on Azure. Why continue with four ERP products? Instead, give GP and SL a ten year EOL deadline with a migration path available to one of the two editions of Dynamics 365. At least these are what the tea leaves are interpreting for me today.
Jet Express for Excel is the free add-on for Dynamics GP which will make a phase-out transition a bit easier. There was no plan in place for transitioning out of Forecaster, so at least this is a short-term solution.
Management Reporter won't be updated. It's scheduled for EOL (end of life) for 2026. Following the standard lifecycle of all Microsoft products, it will be in mainstream support until 2021, then extended support (security fixes only) for the remaining five years. This is the same path that FRx and Forecaster took.
Pam, it’s a shame, we not only have a product not running 100% well, but we won’t get MR running well on the future because you won’t fix neither improve MR for GP.
I have a few questions about it:
1. Isn’t the main Microsoft objective to move all products to the cloud? Why not MR? is not the GP case?
2. If MR will grow with AX, why not with GP?
3. Will be always the Microsoft suggestion, look on ISV products?
4. Besides MR and PA, what other modules are on the way of “not supported”?
