In GP 2013 SP2, for a Weekly payroll, we show a payroll garnishment for an employee recorded in the Payroll Transaction Inquiry window as $111.08. But, the Payables Garnishment Detail Report showed an amount of $94.06.
Technically, this $94.06 amount is correct since the garnishment was set of up to be 10% of the employee's wages, which were $940.66.
So, why did Payroll record the amount as $111.08?
I figured this out. The $17.02 difference was due to the fact that GP is also taking 10% of the Taxes Withheld. This 10% is indeed $17.02.
