We are using GP 9 and have set up a credit card for purchasing. We prepay the balance immediately after receiving the statement. Since getting all the backup paper work is a challenge, the individual purchases are entered as invoices after-the-fact, and then "paid" with the credit card in Manual payments.
So my question is this: how do we get a remittance report to print when the invoices are applied to the prepayment?
In setup, we have checked YES to Print Previously Applied Documents on Remittance. So far this information has been printing on the NEXT prepayment check, which of course, it does not pertain to.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Not sure of the process your are using.
Typically a cheque is isssued from GP to the credit card company with the amount being unapplied. (Much like a deposit)
When the purchase invoices are entered you would go to the Apply Payables Documents window and match the payment to the invoices to reduce the unapplied amount. (This is also useful for knowing what amount of purchases is outstanding for the payement made)
You can then use the Cheque Information Report and select the Cheque Distribution Report.
Select the cheque number in your rang and print your report.
Should you require you can cahnge the report layout to meet your specific needs.

Thanks to all for your helpful comments and remarks. The Check Distribution report actually is adequate for
our needs at this time. The process suggested by Victoria will require some serious work on my part, but I'll work on it.
The work shouldn't be too serious. I converted Victoria's query into a Smartlist in about 10 minutes using Smartlist Builder.
Louis, if you are interested, below are some resources with instructions for creating a SmartList from a SQL view. Of course, this assumes you have SmartList Builder. If you do not, you could create a SQL view and then use it in any reporting tool of your choice, even Excel.
