I have installed Dynamics GP 2015 with the latest hotfix GP14 -KB3045195.
When i use PSTL and try and use the company copy function I get an error 'wrong number of Arguments to open".
Are there any known issues with PSTL company copy.
I have reviewed below but did not help:
On the PSTL main menu, you will see in the lower left hand corner a Rebuild Procs button. Try clicking on this button.
Its a new GP2015 environment, I have rebuilt Procs on the PSTL main window but still get the same error "Wrong number of Arguments to open".
I was hoping this would be a simple issue. It is possible you have installed from the DVD, this is not recommended. Please review the blog post at this link; you may need to re-install the product as directed. Mahmoud provides excellent instructions.
I have followed Mahmouds instructions but still have this issue. Can you please confirm if PSTL company copy for GP205 works in your environment?
If you directly type in the Company ID's, the Company Copy function should work. I believe there is an issue when you use the lookup button to select the company. I ran into the same issue before and this resolved it.
Let me know if it works for you.
Hi Ryan, sorry for the late response. Yes this works perfect by typing in the company ID, I can use the copy function but the look up still does not work but that's okay for now.
This was a lifesaver. I have way too many companies in my new client's install to configure each one. I looked like the only workaround was to delete the db and reinstall.
PS: couldn't find a like button for your post.
I get this error also. Using the company ID's does not work. I type in the company ID in the 'Source Company' field and when I try to tab to the destination field, I get the 'Company ID does not exist' message, followed by another message, 'Source Company and Destination Company cannot be the same.' I am using build 14.0.3.
Use the INTERID for the source and destination company databases
Select CMPANYID,CMPNYNAM,INTERID from SY01500
I tested this and it works for me. If I enter the CMPANYID values for the company databases, I get the same exact error you mentioned.
