Jagadis Sahu's Profile

I wrote my profile with the goal of being professional, yet conversational. I feel it's important to highlight one's strongest transferable and technical skills. Adaptive (personality) skills are important as well, but I think they should be illustrated through examples, rather than listing them. For instance, I justify being innovative by describing how I started and nurture the career center’s first LinkedIn group. 

I want visitors to read my Summary and be interested in reading the rest of my profile. I, as well, don’t dig cutesy or grandiose phrases—they are meaningless if there is no substance to back them up. LinkedIn users must take advantage of the creativity allowed—and encouraged—in the Summary of their profile; but they should not neglect the Experience section by simply listing their job title and the name of the organization. The whole profile should be read by potential contacts and/or employers. 

Feel free to use my Summary as an example for your “potential” presentation, even if you see the need to rip it apart. ;-) I’d appreciate any feedback you or your audience will provide.
