The NAV community, including the ArcherPoint technical staff, is made up of developers, project managers, and consultants who are constantly communicating, with the common goal of sharing helpful information with one another to help customers be more successful.
As they run into issues and questions, find the answers, and make new discoveries, they post them on blogs, forums, social media...so everyone can benefit. We in Marketing watch these interactions and never cease to be amazed by the creativity, dedication, and brainpower we’re so fortunate to have in this community—so we thought, wouldn’t it be great to share this great information with everyone who might not have the time to check out the multitude of resources out there? So, the ArcherPoint Microsoft Dynamics NAV Developer Digest was born. Each week, we present a collection of thoughts and findings from NAV experts and devotees around the world. We hope these insights will benefit you, too.
The June update is live and this month’s update includes:
Jason Taylor shares with us that with the June Power BI enhancements, “the big news isn't the new feature adds this month, the big news is Power BI Premium. “This change from a shared space to one that's dedicated and can be scaled up or down as needed really takes some of the last challenges of entry for bigger businesses away.”
Vjeko.com writes in the State of .NET Affairs post that yes, it is time. Read this compelling article that covers Extensions “version 1” and “version 2” versus using Visual Studio Code and the future of DotNet, particularly in D365 environment.
Kyle Hardin boasts, “I win the function naming contest for today:
LOCAL [EventSubscriber] AutoPostICOutboxOnAfterPostPurchaseDoc”
Matt T agrees, “That's a perfect name for a function. Anyone, not just a developer, can see that and understand what it is expected to do.”
Kyle retorts, “I don't win because it is named properly, I win because it is 162 characters long.”
We do like to have a little fun while we work here at ArcherPoint.

In his LinkedIn article, The 7 Rules of Proactive Leadership, Tomas Kucera provides the definition of proactivity and walks us through the 7 rules. “Proactivity is not only about anticipating the future and acting to shape it, it is also about us being able to choose our responses to external stimuli.”
