What are you trying to Install Server, Client ?

Suggested Answer

When you have this error? During NAV installation or when launching the client? It seems a problem related to the Connect component.

The errors reported here are very different. What type of installation are you doing? It seems so strange...

1)

Error reading from file: E:\\Software\Microsoft Software\Microsoft Navision\Dynamics.NAV60R2.IN.1097407.DVD\Dynamics.NAV60R2.IN.1097407.DVD\Installers\IN\RTC\PFiles\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\RoleTailored Client\Add-Ins\Connect\en-US\Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.DynamicsOnlineConnect.resources.dll.  Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Here it seems that the Connect add-in is missing on your installation. Please check if the path is correct.

2)

Service 'Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server' (MicrosoftDynamicsNavServer) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

Here it seems that your user can't start a windows service. Are you an administrator?

3)

Could not connect to the SQL database.  (-2147467259   master      ). This can be caused by insufficient permissions. Indirect permissions through Windows group memberships may not work as expected when User Account Control (UAC) is turned on.

Same as before. Your user can't access the master db on SQL Server.

4)

Automated Data Capture System for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009

Fatal error during installation.

Error 1001. An exception occurred while uninstalling. This exception will be ignored and the uninstall will continue. However, the application might not be fully uninstalled after the uninstall is complete. --> The savedState dictionary contains inconsistent data and might have been corrupted.

Why are you installing ADCS??? It's an optional component. Please remove it.

Hello

The path "E:\\Software\Microsoft Software\Microsoft Navision\Dynamics.NAV60R2.IN.1097407.DVD\Dynamics.NAV60R2.IN.1097407.DVD\Installers\IN\RTC\PFiles\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\RoleTailored Client\Add-Ins\Connect\en-US\Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.DynamicsOnlineConnect.resources.dll" is way too long.

Windows can't handle such long paths during installations.

Copy the files to  E:\NAV2009\ and run it from there.
