I need to run the physical inventory this year end and not sure how. We use Microsoft Dynamics NAV. I need the report to show what is on hand as well as the item number and description. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Hi Janet Jackson,
You can use "Inventory Analysis by Dimension" report to view on hand quantities for every item and in which warehouse.

natural place would by Physical Inventory Journal, where you could click 'Calculate Inventory' and that populates the journal with all available stock with item numbers, description and quantity.
Other way is to use Bin Contents report (IF you use bins) to generate availability.

Remember that from auditing point of view, the best is to take inventory when the counting person does not know what is the expected quantity - this will prevent him from fraud operations.
