Here I have a question which is how can I change the column name when I print out the report (Picture 1)? For example, now I want to change the Serial No to Classic no.
I had try to change the field as shown in Picture 2, but it not able to function
So, may anyone share me how to change the column name when I print out the report?
You have to open the report layout and check what the textbox expression is. Normally the standard behaviour is to pass FIELDCAPTION(YourField) to the report. In this case, you only need to change the caption field in the table. Otherwise, the value could come from the dataset or could be fixed in the report.
Open the report in design mode (View ->Layout) and then check the textbox.
Thanks for replying.
Actually I had try the textbox expression at report layout. I directly change the caption name. It can allow me to save at report layout. But after that i go to dynamic environment there, I want to save, and it will come out the error:
Error- You have specified an unknown variable. Then define the variable under 'Global C/AL symbols'.
So, what can I do now?
I think it’s wrong what you have written in the textbox Expression. Can you post here?
I know where I get wrong already.
Very thanks for ur help.
