I inherited an existing Nav 2016 implementation and as usual there is no documentation as to any customizations that have been implemented. we need a tool that will search the c/al code in the database for specific strings. for example; we need to change database connections and we know there are some hard coded in the c/al code but not how many or which of the hundreds of objects are affected. there are tools that will search the text files but that requires exporting all of the objects into text files one at a time and there are hundreds of them so just exporting would be a project of its own and would become a snapshot in time. if there is no tool to search within the database is there a tool that will export all of the objects at one time so we do not have to do it one object at a time?
Try this tool
It will let you search and find usages.
that is exactly what I was looking for. thank you
Perhaps you will find a platform where you can possibly find answers to your questions gradesfixer.com/.../. My friends advised me to look there and it helped me.
