I'm a junior NAV developer dealing with 2 issues. I would appreciate any help provided and sorry if I get something wrong.
1. I'm receiving a SOAP request with multiple documents ( header + lines ) that I need to generate in NAV.
My problem consists in HOW can I get those records/documents/objects into the system, what do I use? A codeunit function? A page? I don't have any experience in working with web services in NAV, I hope it's doable.
2. It's also about a SOAP request that I'm receiving but this is about retrieving the documents ( header + lines ). How can I return multiple records from multiple tables?
I imagine doing this in a codeunit function that is exposed as a web service in NAV but I don't have any idea about how to get/return multiple records from/to the requester.
I would guess both requirements above are possible trough pages, but I would appreciate an opinion from an expert on this matter. :D
Thanks a lot for the time spent! Have a great day!
We currently do not have dedicated Dev support via the Dynamics 365 Business Central forums, but I wanted to provide you some additional resources to assist. If you need assistance with debugging or coding I would recommend discussing this on one of our communities.
I will open this up to the community in case they have something to add.
