Dynamics 365 Community Data Privacy

When data is collected, we want to make sure it’s the right choice for you. To help you as an end user and a participant of this community to exercise your Data Subject Request (DSRs) rights under General Data Protection Regulation we provide the following functionalities. The below sections explain the step-by-step process on how you can view, edit, and delete your personal information (customer data). To learn more about the data collected by Microsoft and its use please view the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

View personal data

To view all data collected by the Dynamics 365 Community:

  1. Navigate to the Dynamics 365 Community (community.dynamics365.com)
  2. Sign in by clicking the Sign In link:

  3. Once in, click on your user name, then click Profile.

  4. You can view all information related to your activity with the Dynamics 365 Community by clicking My Data Overview.

  5. You can view your content under My Data Overview.

  6. Select an area to view your content.

In addition to personal data, we also capture your interaction with the service, which includes the following:

  1. Last Login Date
  2. Create Date
  3. Roles
  4. Badges
  5. IP Address
  6. User Bookmarks
  7. Content Views (Type)
  8. User Points
  9. Total Posts

In order to retrieve this information users are encouraged to navigate to the Microsoft Privacy Portal https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/

Edit personal data

  1. Navigate to the Dynamics 365 Community (community.dynamics365.com)
  2. Sign in by clicking the Sign In link. 
  3. Once in, click on your user name, then click Profile.
  4. You can view all information related to your activity with the Dynamics 365 Community by clicking My Overview.
  5. Select a content area to view and edit your content. Select a link to be directed to your published content. On forum posts/replies, click Actions at the bottom of the post, then select Edit Post from the dropdown. Be sure to click Post after making your changes.

Delete personal data

In order to remove information users are encouraged to navigate to Microsoft Privacy Portal https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/.

Please note:
Requests to delete your data received from Microsoft Privacy Portal will be considered a discontinuation of your service with Dynamics 365 Community. Your account the Dynamics 365 Community is closed and all personally identifiable data linked to a user is deleted.

Microsoft Account closure 

Upon closure of your Microsoft Account, which can be done from the Microsoft Privacy Portal, your account with the Dynamics 365 Community is also closed and all data is deleted permanently.
