Hi Team,

How can we set up a database log to monitor changes to default bank account dimensions in AX 2012 R3? I've implemented it, but instead of seeing the actual dimensions, I'm only seeing the Record ID.

Thanks and Regards

The result is correct - the bank account table doesn't store dimensions values; it only stores RecId of a record representing a combination of dimensions. You can take RecId from logs and use it to find details such as dimension values. It's RecId of DimensionAttributeValueSet table, other relared tables are DimensionAttributeValueSetItem or DimensionAttributeValue.

    Hi,
Did you refer to this official document: Configure database logging - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft LearnChanges that can be tracked include insert, update, delete, and rename key operations. When you configure logging for a table or field, a record of every change to that table or field is stored in the database log table, sysdatabaselog, in the environment database. Can you share a screenshot of the error or any more information?
    Best regards,
    Kevin
