When I tried to install AOS component to different server after installing DB component to DB Server,
Installation Report shows success but AOS service cannot start.

Here is our setup information.

  • DB Server (Active-Passive by WSFC)
    • WIndows Server 2008 R2 (Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 (64 bit))
    • SQL Server 2012
    • Dynamics AX 2012 R2 (AxSetup version number: 6.2.158.0)
  • AOS Server
    • WIndows Server 2008 R2 (Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 (64 bit))
    • Dynamics AX 2012 R2 (AxSetup version number: 6.2.158.0)

I checked MSDN then verified firewall port between AOS and DB(open port 1433), also check SQL Server Account account permission and local machine user group but issue is not solved.

Hi,

Try run the process monitor tool from http://live.sysinternals.com. See whether you can find out more on what's going on when the System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception is generated.

kind regards,

SQL 2012 supports Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack,

SQL 2012 does not supports Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, please check at your end or some update or patch for the same.

Hi,

When you try to start AOS service with Process monitor running, filtered by ax32serv.exe, was there any actions around the tail-end that indicate somethings not right? (e.g. failed to read some file or registry entry)

And just for the record, any warnings/errors in event viewer when you start the aos service?

kind regards,

Dominic Lee

Hi,

Open AOS service properties (from within the Administrative tools->Services), what's the 'Path to executable' ?

I solved this issue.

<Issue Reason>

Install Media (ISO file) was broken so "ax32ser.exe" shows all "0X00".

So, now i tried to install by different media then finish installation succesfully.

Dominic Lee
