Hello

I created a new entity, mapped it with the Accounts entity and created a subgrid in the Accounts form.

The new entity has a field "To pay" (yes or no). Now there are 5 records of the Account "Testaccount".

In the Accounts form, I created the field "Paid". Now I want to run a workflow when I set the field "Paid" on the Account form to "yes".

It should set the "To pay" field on every record to "yes".

Is this possible with the built-in workflow manager?

it's not possible to update child records with a workflow because you cannot do a loop and there is no way to know which child records to update

So you can do it using a plugin and C# code

but there is a free solution in codeplex which works for both CRM 2011 and CRM 2013

crm2011distributewf.codeplex.com

it will allow you to update the child records

This blog will tell you more
