Montgomery County is looking into utilizing Power BI as a reporting tool. Out of the box Dynamics only allows you to hit data in prod via an ODATA feed. Only data entities listed can be utilized for reporting. Not all areas / modules have data entities to report against, for example posted AP Invoices. In order to hit the production database directly we will have to purchase Data Lake or Synapse.
Are there any other public sector clients utilizing Data Lake or Synapse? It's my understanding that Synapse is just a service that allows you to hit the production database for tables with change tracking turned on.
