Hi everyone,

I have got some issues using Excel Add-in with Trade Agreement.
I have tried to create a new template associate with the SalesOpenSalesPriceJournalLineEntity but everytime i tried open it from the trade agreement journals line (Sales and marketing>Prices and discounts>Trade agreement journals>lines) the system is only prompting and other template (which is not in the template list here: Common>Office Integration>Document templates) different from mine.

How can i set my template visible from this form?
How to add the header field in my customize template (can't find Trade agreement journal Table in the Excel Add in entity list)?

Thank you for any advice!

Use Excel Add-in for trade agreement
Has anyone managed to figure out a solution to this?
I am getting the same issue with a line filter being added for both the open sales price journal line entity and the open purchase price journal line entity in version 10.0.38.

RE: Use Excel Add-in for trade agreement

    Hi,

I have some issue related to "SalesOpenSalesPriceJournalLineEntity".

    Requirement:

I have added custom field on trade agreement line and that field I will need to display in excel add-ins at specific column in excel.

Downloaded the working excel add-ins and from excel design added custom filed and placed at specific position and save the excel

After that I have created "Document template" in office integration for saved excel (customized excel)

       Issue: While download excel -

Customized column placed at required position in excel but always one row is loads that is because of

In excel filter section by default "Line number" filter applied

Expected: Line number filter should not applied by default; excel filter without line number filter.

[I tried the same approach for SO/PO, for SO/PO excel add-ins working fine but for "SalesOpenSalesPriceJournalLineEntity" , when we download customized Excel add-ins its bringing by default current selected row (Applied Line# filter by default), not all record by default ]

I just want to know is any bug in "SalesOpenSalesPriceJournalLineEntity" D365 10.0 version?

    HI Smalliver,

Did you use the 'Export to' or 'Open in' option? Only when you are using the option 'Open in Excel' you will have a slider menu with control buttons to refresh, design or publish the data.

Once you have exported the Excel document, how does it get uploaded once it is edited?

    Hi MaxMax,

If you create new document template, this is for personal use or share it with colleages. It is not changing the application logic to get it available on the form. To have a new option available, you need to do it in Visual Studio by creating data entities.

Also have a look at the documentation how to do it:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../add-templates-open-lines-excel-menu

    docs.microsoft.com/.../customize-open-office-menu

    Hi André,

    Thank you for this advice.

By a new template i mean a customize Excel worksheet I have created here: Common>Office Integration>Document templates. The template i have created is associated with the SalesOpenSalesPriceJournalLineEntity Entity. So logically it should be visible under 'Open in Excel' from the trade agreement journal lines but it is not.

    Best regards,

    Hi MaxMax,

What do you mean exactly with a new template?

If you want to use the Open in Excel feature with trade agreement journal lines, there is a trick out of the box.

    - Open the trade agreement journal lines.

    - Create and save at least one line with an item number.

    - Close the trade agreement journal lines.

    - Open it again and the entity is visible under 'Open in Excel'.
