Hello,
 
Our company's primary system is in a language other than english. However, the chart of account is build both in english and foreign language. I have been trying to run the trial balance with english captions, with no success. Below screenshot shows the the option to select english (in addition to the foreign language) when we run the report, howver, the output is generated only in the foreign langugae. Can someone help me to extract the trail balance with English captions? The version is NAV 2017.

    Best way to do this without Development - would be to create an Account Schedule, insert all G/L accounts and adjust the name in line Description (this can be done via Configuration package, not one by one). 
    Then adjust the columns to show what You want, similar like Trial Balance. 

    Then in the General Ledger Setup, You can change which Account Schedule is taken for the Balance Sheet, but for other reports - like Trial Balance itself, it cannot be modified without development.
     
    Only downside for this is, that when a new G/L account is added - it has to be added in this Account Schedule lines manually.

    Do you want to find the field containing "(Name)"?
    If so, I think you can find them using table 2000000041.

    Then you can get their values via RecordRef Data Type.

    How exactly do we do it?  A new report should be designed with this field? Why adding this field manually while running the report is not working?

    Apparently it is a custom development, is that so?
    If so, you must also modify the desired reports to obtain the data from the new custom fields.
