What's happening?
When migrating a Dynamics 365 managed solution from one environment to another, the modifications made in the source environment do not reflect in the target environment.
Reason:
This occurs because the component has another managed solution layered on top. In Dynamics 365, managed solutions reflect customizations from the solution at the top of the solution layers. If another managed solution is layered above the imported solution, the customizations from the lower solution will not be visible.
Resolution:
To resolve this, ensure that the managed solution at the top of the solution layers is also imported or upgraded with the latest customizations from the source environment. After importing or upgrading the top-layer solution, the customizations will reflect correctly in the target environment.
