What's happening?

When attempting to configure the WhatsApp channel in Dynamics 365 Customer Service (Omnichannel), users encounter the following error message: "A Resource not found for the segment 'msdyn_UpdatePrivacyTerms'."

Reason:

This occurs because required Omnichannel-related plugins are disabled

Resolution:

To resolve this, perform the following steps:

  1. From the model-driven app, browse to Settings > Advanced Settings > Customizations > Customize the system > SDK Message Processing Steps
  2. Activate the following plugins, if needed: 
  • Microsoft.Dynamics.OmnichannelSharedBase.Plugins.PostOperationUpdatePrivacyTermsPlugin: msdyn_UpdatePrivacyTerms of any Entity
  • Microsoft.Dynamics.OmnichannelBase.Plugins.PostOperationUpdatePrivacyTermsPlugin: msdyn_UpdatePrivacyTerms of any Entity
