What’s happening?
Newly licensed users are not showing up in the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) users list, preventing the addition of roles. Additionally, users may encounter an error stating they cannot be found in the tenant when setting up the Power Platform.


Reason:

  • The newly licensed user may not have been properly registered in the system, leading to their absence from the user list.
  • There may be issues with the license not being reflected in the system, which can take 7-10 business days for activation after purchase and installation.
  • The user may not be recognized in the tenant due to incorrect admin settings in Lifecycle Services.
     
Resolution:
  • Confirm if the license exists in the M365 Admin Centre. If the license is present, proceed to review the invalid users in Dynamics 365 F&O as per the documentation provided.
  • For the issue of the newly licensed user not appearing, manually add the user to the user list by creating a new worker and then adding them to the user list.
  • If encountering the error while setting up the Power Platform, ensure that the admin user is correctly updated in Lifecycle Services for the environment.
  • Refer to the documentation on how to import users and manually add users in Dynamics 365 F&O for further guidance.
