What’s happening?
Customers are encountering multiple best practice warnings in their User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment after enabling app checker warnings. An example warning is "BPErrorLabelNotDefined."
Reason:
The best practice warnings are generated as a result of enabling the best practice check for the package. These warnings serve as suggestions and guidelines for the development process but are not mandatory.
Resolution:
- It is advised that customers can ignore the best practice warnings unless they lead to errors. For instance, the warning "BPErrorLabelNotDefined" indicates that error labels are not correct, which could result in unspecified error messages for end users.
- Following best practices is not mandatory; however, it is recommended for the continuation of development and integration.
- If customers have manually updated their UAT or production environments, they can ignore email notifications or banners/warnings they may see in Lifecycle Services (LCS).
- For further inquiries regarding best practices, customers should refer to the documentation provided by Microsoft: "Write best practice rules - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn."
