What’s happening?
Users are unable to access the VM or environment, receiving error messages such as "You are not authorized to access" or "You are not authorized to login with your current credential."
Reason:
- The VM may not be started from the Azure portal, leading to access issues.
- Duplicate telemetry IDs in user forms, particularly for users who are no longer active, may cause authorization problems.
- The exchange email provider has been deprecated, affecting email functionalities.
- For VM Access Issues:
- Ensure that the VM is started from the Azure portal before attempting to connect via RDP.
- If the issue persists, check the Network Security Group (NSG) configuration to ensure that RDP connections are allowed.
- Verify user credentials to ensure they are correct and that the user account is not locked or disabled.
- For Environment Access Issues:
- Investigate and resolve any duplicate telemetry IDs found in user forms.
- If a user account is disabled, consider deleting the account or changing the email associated with it to resolve the telemetry ID conflict.
- Migrate to Microsoft Graph for email functionalities as the exchange email provider is deprecated. Follow the documentation for configuring and sending emails using Microsoft Graph.
- General Steps:
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, raise a support request with Azure Support for further assistance.
- For any ongoing issues, consider scheduling a meeting with support to discuss the problem in detail.
- If the issue is related to email sending:
- Review the documentation on the removal of the exchange email provider and follow the guidelines for using Microsoft Graph for email services.
