What’s happening?
Customers are seeking guidance on how to perform an initial sync on dual write from Finance and Operations (F&O) to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) specifically for newly added entities, while excluding existing legal entities.
Reason:
This arises when customers want to ensure that existing legal entities are not affected during the initial sync process, as they have already gone live with multiple entities.
This arises when customers want to ensure that existing legal entities are not affected during the initial sync process, as they have already gone live with multiple entities.
Resolution:
To resolve this of excluding existing legal entities from the initial sync, follow these steps: 1. Remove the existing legal entities from the list. 2. Perform the initial sync for the newly added entities. 3. Re-add the old legal entities to the list. 4. Ensure to select the option to skip initial writes for the added (old) legal entities so that pre-existing data is not copied.
By following these steps, customers can successfully perform the initial sync for newly added entities without impacting existing records.
