What’s happening?
The customer is experiencing connectivity issues with the sandbox environment, resulting in error messages indicating that the connection has been lost temporarily or that the sandbox is down.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this is related to the sandbox environment being down, which may involve network connectivity problems, service interruptions, or configuration issues.
Resolution:
- Check the Status of the Sandbox Environment:
- Visit the Microsoft Service Health Dashboard to ensure that the sandbox environment is not undergoing maintenance or experiencing outages.
- Review Event Logs:
- Navigate to the Dynamics 365 Admin Center and review the event logs for any specific errors or warnings related to the connection.
- Verify Network Connectivity:
- Ensure that the network connection is stable. Check for any firewall or proxy settings that might be blocking access to the Dynamics 365 sandbox environment.
- Restart IIS and Sandbox Services:
- This can help resolve temporary connection issues.
- To restart IIS:
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
- Execute the command: iisreset.
- Clear Browser Cache:
- Clear the browser cache and cookies to eliminate any potential issues caused by cached data.
- Check User Permissions:
- Verify that the user has the appropriate permissions to access the sandbox environment. This can be done in the Dynamics 365 Admin Center under user roles and permissions.
- Restart Services in Finance and Operations ERP:
- Access Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS).
- Select the appropriate project and navigate to the environment details.
- Restart the necessary services (e.g., Finance and operations apps service, Data management service, financial reporting service).
- Monitor the Restart Process:
- The environment's status will update to "Restarting service." Once the restart is complete, the status will return to "Deployed." Refresh the page to see the updated status.
