What’s happening?
The customer is experiencing a procurement hierarchy issue in production, leading to an object reference exception. This issue began occurring recently and has caused disruptions in the production environment.
Reason:
This arose when the user was making modifications through a specific application, potentially leading to the accidental deletion of the parent category. This action caused the loss of linkage of the category node.

Resolution:
To address this, follow these steps: 1. Navigate to Product information management > Setup > Categories and attributes > Category hierarchies. 2. Click on the drop-down arrow to view all the category nodes that lost their linkage. 3. Replicate the issue to confirm if a new category hierarchy can be created and if the category node can be imported. 4. Request assistance with the steps to export the Excel file named RetailEcoResCategoryEntity.
