What’s happening?
Customers encounter an error message stating "Cannot delete a record in Containers (WHSContainerTable). The record shown has been updated by another user. Press Revert or Shift+Control+F5 to see the updated values." when attempting to delete multiple containers in the system.

Reason:
This behavior is by design. When multiple containers are created, one of them may be moved to "open containers." The system keeps one of the containers synchronized in the "open containers" section on the Pack page. Due to the lack of an update or refresh to synchronize the change, the system does not allow deletion of the container that appears to be in use.

Resolution:

  1. After encountering the error message, close the error dialog.
  2. Refresh the system to synchronize the changes. This can be done by pressing Shift+Control+F5.
  3. Once the system is refreshed, attempt to delete the container again. This should allow the deletion as the field will now indicate that it is empty.
This mechanism is in place to prevent accidental deletion of containers currently in use and to avoid potential inconsistent data.
