What’s happening?

  1. Customers are unable to delete the Ordered Quantity from a Purchase Order, even when the Purchase Order status is set to Draft.
  2. Deleted journals are still visible in inventory transactions, causing discrepancies in stock visibility.

Reason:

  1. This with deleting Ordered Quantity may arise when the Purchase Order has been confirmed, which prevents deletion. The system may require specific steps to revoke the confirmation before deletion can occur.
  2. The visibility of deleted journals in inventory transactions may be due to the need for a consistency check, which is necessary to resolve discrepancies in the production environment.

Resolution:

  1. For Deleting Ordered Quantity from Purchase Order:
  2. Set the Purchase Order status to "Draft."
  3. Navigate to the specific Purchase Order and enter edit mode.
  4. Locate the Ordered Quantity line item(s) and delete the ordered quantity by either setting the quantity to zero or removing the line item entirely.
  5. Save the changes to update the Purchase Order.
  6. If the system uses workflows, confirm the changes through the workflow process to ensure that the changes are approved and finalized.
  7. For Deleted Journal Visibility in Inventory Transactions:
  8. Perform a consistency check in the production environment to resolve the visibility of deleted journals.
  9. If the issue persists, consult with the product team for further assistance and ensure that the consistency check is executed correctly.
  10. Follow up on the status of the consistency check and any necessary actions required to clear the visibility of the deleted journal.
If the above steps do not resolve the issues, further investigation may be required, and it is recommended to consult with support for additional troubleshooting.
