What’s happening?
Customers are unable to rename or change the "product code" in the registration of released products, despite being able to rename the record ID and item number.


Reason:
The inability to edit the product code is due to system limitations that prevent changes after the item has been released.


Resolution:

  • It has been confirmed that after an item is released, it is not possible to edit the product code; only the description can be modified.
  • The product team has released an update in version 10.0.42 that allows for the renaming of the item number, but this does not extend to the product code.
