What’s happening?
The customer is experiencing an issue where free items do not respect the specified currency during transactions.


Reason:
This is identified as a bug within the system that affects the handling of free items in relation to currency validation.


Resolution:

  1. Confirm if this is replicable across all environments.
  2. Verify the current version of the system; the issue was noted in version 10.0.39 and should be tested in version 10.0.41 or later to check if the problem persists after updates.
  3. Ensure that the currency (MXN) is set correctly in both the header and line items of the sales order.
  4. Conduct tests without any customizations to determine if the issue is related to specific custom code.
  5. If the issue persists, perform the following trace:
  6. Go to the sales order with the currency set to MXN.
  7. Add the line item without specifying quantity and amount for evaluation.
  8. Access the trace feature from the help menu and start the trace.
  9. Add the necessary quantity or amount to trigger the free item line.
  10. Stop the trace once the error occurs and download the trace file.
  11. Provide the trace file along with screenshots of the Session ID and Environment ID for further analysis.
  12. Send the URL of the environment where the test was conducted, along with the date and time of the test, to assist in reviewing the telemetry data.
