What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing difficulties with the Size and Color entities not being available in the Data Management workspace for specific legal entities, particularly during product complete dual write sync processes. Additionally, attempts to add new sizes to size groups result in prolonged processing times and errors.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this appears to be related to permissions specific to the legal entity (CMA) where the entities are not appearing in the entity list. There may also be issues with the configuration keys for the entities, which must be active for all legal entities to see the same entities.
Resolution:
- Verify that the necessary permissions are assigned to the user roles, as even system admins might not have permissions for specific actions if the system uses a detailed Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) model.
- Check if the Size and Color entities are configured correctly in the impacted legal entity (CMA) and ensure that the configuration keys for these entities are active.
- If the entities are still not visible, refresh the tables in the Dual-write administration workspace in finance and operations apps by opening the table map and selecting the Refresh tables option.
- For further information on ensuring that the schema is updated if the source is a table in finance and operations apps, refer to the document titled "General troubleshooting - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn."
- If the issue persists after following these steps, consider creating a product manually in the impacted legal entity with size and color variants to test if the entities become available.
