What’s happening?

Users are unable to add new rates via the Cost management > Indirect cost accounting policies setup > Costing sheets, as this task can only be performed by a system administrator.

 Reason:

The roles assigned to users determine their ability to create or delete indirect cost rates. Specifically, the role of Inventory accountant clerk can create and delete rates, while the role of Inventory accountant can activate rates. However, the role of Account manager restricts the ability to create and delete rates.

Resolution:

To resolve the issue, ensure that users have the appropriate roles assigned:

  • Assign the role of Inventory accountant clerk to allow the creation and deletion of rates.
  • Assign the role of Inventory accountant to enable the activation of rates.
  • Verify that users with the Account manager role do not attempt to create or delete rates, as this role will block those actions.
