What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing performance issues when creating and posting invoice proposals in the production environment.

Reason:
The performance issue is linked to the extension PMIPProjInvoiceGrouping_FM::insertProjAmountsHistory, which is causing delays during the invoice proposal process.

Resolution:

  1. Ensure the following features are enabled since Feature management workspace:
    • Use Project invoice proposal and invoice journal forms with the Header and Lines view.
    • Project invoice proposal performance enhancement.
  2. Navigate to Project management and accounting > Setup > Project management and accounting parameters > Invoice tab:
    • Turn off 'Display available transactions automatically' check box.
    • Turn on 'Disable automatic refresh of summaries' check box.
  3. Verify that the following feature is not enabled in Feature management workspace: Enable Project Operations on Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.
