What’s happening?
An error message indicates that the exchange rate cannot be found for the budget exchange rate type between two currencies when posting an expense report.


Reason:
The error regarding the exchange rate type is related to the absence of budget rates being loaded by the finance team, despite the system requesting a budget exchange rate.


Resolution:

  1. Go to General Ledger> Ledger setup> Ledger and ensure there is a exchange rate type for Budgeting exchange rate type field.
  2. Set up the required currency pair in the Exchange rate type defined for Budgeting. By clicking on the link you can check if the pair exists and otherwise you can create a new one.
