What’s happening?
Customers encounter an error message when attempting to import quote lines from a project using the action msdyn_CopyProjectV4. The error states: "Unable to copy project. Project has scheduling in progress. Please try again later."
Reason:
The error occurs because the target project has an active scheduling activity when the copy is attempted. This can happen if there has been some activity performed on the destination project prior to the copy action.
Resolution:
- Ensure that there are no active scheduling activities on the target project before attempting to copy.
- If the error persists, create a fresh target project and perform the copy action on that project. Ensure that no actions are taken on the project after its creation and before copying.
- If the issue continues, verify the correlation ID for the error and the timestamp when the error occurs. Check for any PSS error logs related to the correlation ID and provide them for further investigation.
